The Globe has Blown

A few years ago a couple of friends and I started a theatre company.
It was called “Blown Globe Productions” a name that was chosen from a list it didn’t appear on. We soon discovered that by some quirk in human perception… Blown Globe was more often than not read as “Brown Globe” a name that finds more connotations with toilets than with theatre.
Despite this, we carried on and put on what can only be described as an “average” production. We we got some good reviews , we got some bad, but we made enough money to cover costs and pay the actors a small amount for their efforts. For first time producers, directors and script writers it was, at the very least, an important learning experience.
Three years on and I’ve finally decided to wind the company up. 2007/08 was a terrible year for us, we came out with a loss of $60. That monthly $5 bank fee is killer.
With the company gone, and the web page now defunct, I’ve decided to turn the lights out on www.blownglobe.com once and for all.
In an impulse purchase today, I have now become the proud owner of: http://the-titman.com. As such this blog will soon find its way over there.
